Today, as Americans across our nation pray as part of the National Day of Prayer, a small group of atheists are petitioning Americans to set aside a National Day of Reason. Of course, the title to their event suggests that Christians lack reason, which, in fact, is simply unreasonable.

As my brother and I travel to grow our company we are often asked where we studied business. Our answer is always the same…we didn't study business in college, just the bible. As a matter of fact, we were American History majors!

Men are by nature pursuers, while women, on the other hand, are by nature responders. One of the primary reasons marriages fail is that after the wedding vows are exchanged men are off to pursue other things. Why?
Because they captured what they were pursuing. Needless to say, if the pursuit is gone the response leaves too. This nasty trend can be reversed if men continue to pursue the heart of their brides long after saying “I do”.

There is a difference between preaching the Gospel of salvation and the Gospel of the kingdom. As Christians, we shouldn't be satisfied with just seeing people get saved, rather we should rejoice to see them fully engaged in the growth and development of the Kingdom of God. The entrance to this Kingdom comes through salvation, but salvation is not the final goal. The ultimate goal of the Gospel of the Kingdom is to have Jesus as both Savior AND Lord!

Last Sunday my son, Ty, and I watched the Lakers play the Thunder on NBC. It was an exciting game that went into double overtime. Ultimately, the Lakers pulled out the victory thanks to Kobe Bryant’s last minute heroics.

The National Day of Prayer is just around the corner and America needs your prayers, now more than ever. Ronald Reagan once said, “Freedom prospers when religion is vibrant and the rule of law under God is acknowledged.”
Yet today we continue to face unabated moral decline, economic turmoil, military conflict in the Middle East, and the ever-increasing assaults against religious liberty.

A recent Wall Street Journal article, titled, A 50 State Tax Lesson for the President, by Art Laffer and Steve Moore shows the stark contrast between Obamanomics and Reaganomics in regards to whether or not the government should increase or decrease taxes to achieve prosperity.

Oslwald Chambers said, “Unguarded strength is double weakness.” The more I think about this the truer it becomes to me. Below are a few crafty ways he gets even the strongest Christians to stumble in their strengths:

Have you ever wondered why some of our best ideas often come while taking a shower? I’ve thought about this many times, and it wasn’t until recently that I believe I figured it out.

I find it very interesting that President Obama is now opposing Amendment One here in North Carolina. To be honest, it’s none of his business how North Carolinians define marriage.
This issue is far too important for him or a small group of legislators or judges to decide, so it’s up to the people of our state during the early voting and on May 8, 2012.
